What is counted
The estimate counts dedicated ear-care, audiology or hearing, ENT, nurse-led, medical and mobile providers with provider-owned evidence of ear-wax removal. Branches and clinic locations are counted separately. Pharmacy-owned services and pharmacy counters are excluded.
Regional evidence and calculation
The same non-pharmacy curation rules were applied to Google Places discovery and provider-owned website evidence in each completed region.

Sensitivity range
- –1,300 conservative: follows the lower London clinics-per-person result.
- ✓1,700 central: combines all three completed regions.
- +2,300 upper: allows for missed chain branches and greater provision outside the sampled regions.
The estimate is most sensitive to regional variation, incomplete chain-branch coverage and mobile providers without a public clinic address.
